Flights
Stockholm’s main airport is Arlanda, located 26 miles north of the city. The cheap airlines don’t go there. They use Skavsta (NYO near Nyköping. Ryanair from Liverpool, Birmingham, Glasgow and Stansted) or Västerås (VST, Ryanair from Stansted). Skavsta is 66 miles to the south, Västerås 64 miles to the west.

From Skavsta Airport to Stockholm:
Bus: SEK 150 (£12.50) one way (90mins), SEK 249 (£21) return.
Train: SEK 118 (£10) one way (60mins), add local bus no. 515 or 715 for SEK 21 (£1.80) to get to the train station.

You can also get a ferry from Riga (or Tallin) – don’t forget you get accommodation for the night included. Here’s some information on the Riga sailing:
